Marryat CMR Reels
CMR reels are made from Bar
stock Aluminum of the highest standards in Switzerland. All CMR reels offer
quick change right/left hand retrieve with a flick of a finger. Exposed
palming rim and counter balance give extra control of line to fight the
strongest of fish.
With a world famous disc brake system the Marryat CMR lets you set the the exact amount of drag you want from 0 to 25 ounces. The CMR allows you to set the drag to a silent line in / click line out mode or all silent mode avoiding that ear wrenching ratchet.
Each reel is machined to exact tolerances often found only in precision made Swiss watches. The famous drag system found on a Marryat reel is a NO maintance ever cassette disc drag. In factory tests, drag cassettes were submitted to rigourous tests.
First the test engineers pulled line off the reel at 8,210 RPM for 30 seconds straight. Then they left the cassette in saltwater for 4 days straight. Later they mixed the reel drag system with river gravel and stirred the brew 50 times.Then the test engineers left the cassette in sand and stirred it some more. For fun they left the cassette in water overnight. The next day they came back, cleaned the cassette with a cloth, blew it dry with air and put it back in the reel. It worked perfectly with no adjustments. Now that is a test!
